What is a Creative Arts Coach?

So glad you asked! This is a title that was created to explain the role of an expressive art social worker at Just Espresso Yourself. Together we create through visual art, gaming and various other modalities, hence the creative arts portion. When you think of the word coach, we think of someone who motivates, encourages and uplifts others. That’s my job and I am here to support you in your creative process.

What is Expressive Art?

This is a self-care tool where the participant uses an alternate form of expression as a creative outlet: such as visual arts, music, writing, dance, yoga, performing arts, RPGs (Role Playing Games) and other endless possibilities. If you can think of any alternate modality for expression, it likely falls under this category.

Whats are the workshop logistics?

Every session has either a self-care theme/topic associated with it or is a team building experience. We either create an art project or work through a RPG (Role Playing Game). Click here for more information about the RPGs.

For our visual art workshops, there is roughly a 1 hour set-up and 1 hour break-down around the 1-2 hour workshop. In state travel, set-up, break-down and all of the supplies are included in the standard rate. Out of state travel is absolutely an option, so please contact me for more information.

Where are you located?

We come to you. Whether you are at an office, school, agency, organization, facility or anywhere, we happily travel to your location both in and outside of NJ.

Do I have to be an artist?

Whether you are an experienced artist or you’ve never held a paintbrush before, these workshops are for you. In the wise words of Picasso “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up”.
